How To Hire and Keep Great People in Agencies

12th June 2026

Hiring well is one of the hardest things you’ll do as an agency leader. Keeping people once you’ve found them is harder still.

Jamie Saberi works with independent agencies across the UK every day, placing talent in Paid Social, PPC, Programmatic, SEO, Creative and Social roles. He sees what candidates are being offered, what makes them say yes, and what makes them leave. This session is him sharing that view directly.

On attracting the right people:

  • Writing a job description that reflects the role people will actually do
  • Using market insight to position your offer competitively, on salary, culture and progression
  • Streamlining your interview process so you don’t lose good candidates to a faster-moving competitor
  • Making an offer that lands, and why under-offering costs more than you think

On keeping them once they’re in:

  • The most common reason agency employees leave, and when the decision usually gets made
  • Building progression that feels attainable, not theoretical
  • Getting flexibility, workload and learning opportunities right before someone starts looking elsewhere
  • Why regular salary reviews are cheaper than replacement costs

Bring your questions

The session includes a live Q&A. If you’re dealing with something specific right now, a role you can’t fill, someone you’re worried about losing, or a process that isn’t working, this is the place to bring it.

This is a free session, open to all. You don’t need to be a WIA member to attend.

Friday 12 June, 1pm

Online via Zoom

Around 45 minutes including Q&A
