Are Your Leads Ready for Social Ads? Here’s How to Tell

by | Jul 8, 2025 | Expert Insights

They’ve outgrown organic and have the data to prove it

We’re not in the business of funding product-market fit experiments. The brands we work with have already proven demand through organic sales, influencer partnerships or email marketing. They’ve got a repeatable offer and solid conversion rates.

If they can’t show those numbers, we’ll politely refer them to training or consultancy first. Paid ads should pour fuel on a fire, not try to start one.

They understand that Meta ads are part of a wider ecosystem

Meta ads aren’t a silver bullet. They’re part of a broader digital strategy designed to build awareness, drive traffic and fuel your funnel.

We ask every lead, “What are you hoping Meta ads will do for your business?” If they say, “replace our other marketing” or “get us instant sales,” we know it’s not the right fit.

The brands we work with get that ads are an investment, not a guaranteed return. And they’re ready to test, learn and scale sustainably.

Their tech stack is ad-ready

Before we commit to any new account, we audit the back end. We’re looking for:

  • A conversion-optimised site that loads fast and works beautifully on mobile
  • Email flows that nurture and convert (especially post-click)
  • Clean tracking infrastructure (Pixel and CAPI installed and functioning)

If it’s not in place, we’ll build a prep roadmap or decline the project altogether. Our goal is to drive results, and that starts with strong foundations.

Their budget signals business readiness, not just ad ambition

We typically work with brands investing over £10k/month on Meta ads. In our experience, that level of spend usually signals something more than just marketing appetite. It reflects a business that has tested the fundamentals, proven its offer, and is now ready to invest in sustainable growth.

That said, smaller budgets can deliver results, especially with the right creative, funnel and expectations in place. But they require a different strategic approach, often with tighter parameters and a clearer understanding of trade-offs.

When a brand isn’t quite at that scale yet, we’re always happy to recommend a strategy audit or short-term advisory package to help them build the foundations and get ad-ready.

They’re committed to creating high-quality content

Meta ads are driven by creativity. That means fresh, on-brand, conversion-focused assets. We don’t need studio shoots or viral TikToks, but we do need clients who understand that creative variety is essential to performance.

If they’re unwilling to invest in UGC, video and content that mirrors the platform experience, they’re not ready.

They’re ready for collaboration, not delegation

Finally, we look for mindset. Our best clients aren’t looking to hand off the problem. They’re looking for a partner. They’re curious, responsive and open to strategic guidance.

We want to work with our clients, not just for them. If they’re not ready to be part of the process, we’re probably not the right fit.

Conclusion: Great Ads Start with Great Clients

At White Bee Digital, we’re clear about who we serve and who we don’t. We work with brands ready to scale, with the foundations, budget and mindset to make Meta ads work.

That doesn’t mean smaller budgets never succeed. But they do require close management, realistic KPIs and a different style of support. If you’re attracting those leads regularly, consider where your agency can best add value and whether it’s through full-service, strategy or something in between.

If you’d like support vetting your own leads or want a second pair of eyes on a potential client’s ad readiness, visit White Bee Digital. Let’s raise the bar on what “ad-ready” really means.
